And I think you know my grasp of language well enough to know I would say exactly what I meant, in exactly the way I meant. I knew that it left me open for an "I gotcha". And I knew that others would understand it for what it was. A clear statement of "if that's really what you mean, go ahead". I was tired of it all. Tired of the threats. Of the bullies. Uncomfortable? When do threats of violence, or allusions to violence, not make many, I hope most of us, uncomfortable?
