My goodness dear, may I just say that you said that preciously! I so extremely and heartily agree with you, if that does not in any way violate the new elaborate customs of this thread. My pinky is raised in a salute to you for your very genteel and, I hope, appropriately circumspect, post.

I totally understand that America is not only for white anglo males like myself. I embrace the world and all cultures and religions with open arms to join this wonderful country of ours. I don't think GW should turn the white house into a puplit any more than you.

Inviting Billy Graham-type-Christians to the inauguration is OK. Inviting anyone is OK? Was GW practicing exclusion or just throwing a celebration the way he and his family/party want to celebrate. I wouldnt do it that way. My parties are much different and praying usually happens the next morning <g> - but it was GW's party and he picks the band - if you will.

But let not the foundation of our hope rest upon man's wisdom. It will not be sufficient that sectional prejudices find no place in the
public deliberations. It will not be sufficient that the rash counsels of human passion are rejected. It must be felt that there is no national
security but in the nation's humble, acknowledged dependence upon God and His overruling providence.
