And for Classic SI mode, DON'T CHANGE THINGS LIKE THAT in the first place!

Classic SI mode, by definition, is not something to be tweaked and rearranged gratuitously. Yes, adding new features (like the next-10-messages link that was not in the original SI) is okay, but don't change existing things or the style.
