An adequate lesbian character....hmmmm. I can't think of any. All I can think of are homosexual male characters- Suddenly Last Summer, Death in Venice, Maurice etc etc- maybe because so many novels are written by men, and some of them are gay men- there haven't been enough women writers to give us a good sampling of lesbian fiction. You can correct this.
