Oblomov, I don't think they expect a proxy fight. But, since they are changing the basic charter, they need more votes than usual to pass them. Many folks just throw their proxies away and without a certain number, they cannot change the rules. In general, I agree that they are too restricted in the new world of metals mining. The industries are consolidating and having rules about how much money can be in one stock makes no sense when one holding co. now represents four names you used to hold. Also, South African concentration may not always be the best thing for investing. So, I voted yes on everything but the accountants, who I always vote against out of spite. <g
