It is hard to believe that this odious practice will survive the light of day. It is equivalent to allowing executives to retroactively short their own stock, since they get to pay back shares they sold at high prices with shares at the current low price. But given the lies and quasi-criminal accounting that is tolerated by stockholders and regulatory agencies, maybe "rescinding" option exercises will become SOP. After all, who would have ever thought "repricing" options would be a tolerable practice? /BSG
