I don't know Ashcroft personally, but he reminds me of someone I did know (from work). This guy thought he could pick gays out of crowd by just looking at them. He also had this it takes one to know one kind of idea, so he became overly fearfull that it meant he was gay. I don't know if he was or not, but he was really wiered, alternating between attraction and repulsion. This testimony of his where he claims to have known the former Luxenburg ambassadore when he was in college, and the the other guy doesn't know what he is talking about. This other guy used to have the same facisnation about people he barely saw, and then was outraged that he wasn't considered a friend or even aquaintence. TP
