Prices of communication chip companies are recovering in Instinet already, and fast.

AMCC at $73 now. Am going to look into writing March 70 puts.

Fred...agreed....in a bear market you hedge you new positions if ya have to take any, at best and protect your longs if ya choose to keep 'em....this stock is way, way too expensive (and always has been) to be horsing around with this in a bear market
