Diesel, I'd give it a 25% chance of 75 basis point cut. . .50% chance of 50 basis point cut. . .25% chance of 25 basis point cut. Then again, he may throw everyone a sort of curve ball by mixing the cuts. . . Fed Funds rate gets cut by one amount, while the Discount rate is cut another. But just as we saw from recent earnings reports. . . it is not so much the actual report that moves these markets. . . but rather the spin of the comments that accompany the move. I would much prefer he lower by 25 basis points and make a strong statement toward further cuts ahead or about adding more liquidity, etc. . . than 50 basis point cut with a vague fence-straddling accompanying statement. Rande Is
