Mark H.--I'm for cutting wasteful spending wherever it is, the question is, who defines it. Some folks think that Headstart is a wasteful program, others view it as an important investment in poor children. Just depends on your point of view...

It is wasteful regardless of to whom it goes. Objecting to only that spending that goes to your particular 'enemies list' guarantees that no wasteful spending will ever be cut.
