The problem is none of those links show anything that Bush has actually done, or even signed into law. All of the improvements discussed grew out of changes suggested by the Perot commission. Much of this was done under Ann Richards, Shrub's predecessor. So she should get the credit if signing the laws are the criteria.

My problem with charter schools was that they were created before anyone had any real idea if they would work. A substantial fraction are doing worse than the schools they replaced, not what you really want to do.

Tim and thread,

ADCT is a provider of telecom/networking infrastructure based out of MPLS that has grown considerably during the 90's. It recently gave very conservative guidance for 2001 due to the economic slowdown and got a major haircut...the stock is down to $14+ from its hi in the $50's. I think it will end up doing better than its projected and am buying some at these levels. It could go lower so be careful...as you know all of tech is like swampy quicksand right now.

Nonetheless, check it out; you might want to get some as well.
