Did PMCS say anything specific about CSCO? I would think that LU being their other double digit customer and cutting spending in December would be a bigger cause than CSCO based on everything I've read.knc

John, Classic case of inventory correction with cisco and pmcs. Can you imagine what would happen if this recession is compressed and the orders get ramped up in a period of shortages. Well thats what Gspan does--he overshoots to guarantee results. Its like a pendulum and now we will have oversupply followed by possible shortages as the pendulum swings back to normal, hopefully for another 8 year bull run. Cisco earnings report, even if it talks about a bumpy quarter (now and the next one) which follows by a week fed lowering of rates(1/4 or 1/2) will get us into phase 2 of this rally as we move above 3000. And cisco will move up accordingly even if there is a blip in growth. Reason--its only a blip. Of course a delay in this scenario would occur if recession is deeper or longer than I expect. Time will tell. mike
