hi ed good input. i think the most telling part of your post is when you say, "As an avid,by nature, early adopter..." this speaks to all the folks who used to bombard classic lovers with accusations of being resistant to change, and afraid of progress, and generally technologically challenged in some way. far from it, as your post indicates. i know you from the computer learning thread to be a knowledgeable user who likes leading edge stuff. but, correct me if i'm wrong, not at the expense of all those lovely things you mentioned..."fast,efficient,eye appealing and a pleasure to use". as we both know (and so many who have been through this crap with si until-they-could-hurl know), si does NOT listen to membership until and unless there appears to be a correlation between what we say and what they intend to do anyway. what gripes my behind is when they make a change and then fall back on that song and dance about a user requested it. i mean that really gripes me. :) mark
