Another democrat would have much worse than clinton. Government is inefficient. Paying off the debt was far better than the liberal solution. Bush's test will come as well if conservative rhetoric gets the better of the tasks like education, drugs etc. that the government needs to tackle at some level during this administration. In order to succeed and have a shot at a second term Bush conservatism must be seen as compassionate or else the 100% democrat vote by their core groups will do us in when it is allied with independents who see conservatism as harsh and unfair. So I suggest that although i agree with much of what you say, temper your words and be prepared to compromise with the left. Reagan's entree after the Carter years was far different that now. He could afford to fire the air traffic controllers when they struck. Bush cant. Back him on this.
