Joe, point taken. I will retire from the Shrub topic now. Sorry if I bored/offended/annoyed anyone. As I have stated before, I don't like the man, and I guess it shows.

We'll see what the next 4 years brings. Hopefully a lot of good.

These types of arguments will never be settled. There is not really any point in arguing them. One side will say Clinton is the source of all the good with economy, the
other side will say that the changes in the 80s prepared the economy for the growth, or that it was the Republican Congress.

Actually, what really happened is very clear. After the Democrat's complete repudiation in the 92 mid term elections, Clinton ignored all his here to fore ill advisors and brought back Dick Morris. Morris started doing polls on any and all the issues and outlined an agenda to get Clinton back on track with the American people based on the poll data. Hence the over night metamorphosis from a liberal big government Democrat to a middle of the road less government pseudo Republican. From this came the budget reforms, welfare reforms and nearly any thing else of substance from then on. Any success Clinton had from 92 on was hardly due to any ideology of his own other then the principle of expediency. By in large, he did simply what the polls indicated. This scenario was CLEARLY outlined in a PBS Frontline documentary on the Clinton years. Interviews with numerous Clinton aides absolutely confirmed this. If it is ever aired again, I highly recommend it.
