The natural gas, oil, and metals markets look really good to me. The total market cap of the gold miners is peanuts. If the gold is shorted to infinity as seems to be the case, the best place to buy gold is in the ground for next to nothing. To make this play work, some big players need to step in and get the ball rolling. One scenario is that the ball starts rolling after the fed cuts 1/2 a point off short term rates next week and continues to pump liquidity into a teetering banking system. What better to do with that added liquidity than buy all the gold miners?
