The following excerpt from the Sprint article really hits it home regarding the conversation we were having just yeterday:

"The third major competitive advantage is backward and forward compatibility between current (2G) and new (3G) CMDA technology and handsets. While other wireless carriers may be forced to introduce new phones to users -- making current models obsolete -- Sprint PCS customers will continue to enjoy their current PCS phone and seamless service even as the 3G technology is deployed."

It is nice to see this stuff in print even if it is a PR from Sprint. Now why can't the media pick up on this stuff instead of dragging out endlessly the old worn out mantra that North Anerica is hopelessy behind in 3G via-a-vis Europe and Asia.
