From Million Mom March

We need an Attorney General who supports gun laws to protect our kids.

John Ashcroft won’t. He’s against banning assault weapons. He’s against
background checks at gun shows. He’s against including child safety locks with new handguns. He supports people carrying concealed loaded guns, even at daycare centers and on school grounds! No wonder the National Rifle
Association spent more than $300,000 trying to get him reelected to the Senate in November.

SEN. FEINSTEIN JOINS 5 OTHER SENATORS OPPOSING
ASHCROFT, JUDICIARY COMMITTEE VOTE POSTPONED TIL
NEXT WEEK

KEEP THOSE E-MAILS COMING TO YOUR SENATORS!

As Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) became the sixth Senator to announce
opposition to Ashcroft's confirmation, the Senate Judiciary Committee
postponed its confirmation vote until next week. Sen. Feinstein announced shewould vote against confirmation because of the nominee's "ultra right-wing" views on gun control and other issues. Senators have asked Ashcroft to
respond to more than 350 written questions on his views and actions.

Flash:A Million Moms Must Say NO

!According to the UK's The Guardian (01/13/01) in a Special report:
George W Bush’s America, John Ashcroft "has been linked to an extremist
pro-gun lobbying group [Gun Owners of America (GOA)] which believes that the answer
to America’s school shootings is to allow pupils to be armed in the classroom."

I see Norton got appointed.
I hope I never mention Norton without mentioning Nader in the same sentence.
