>>>Can they monetize (sp) enough to make it happen? how do you spell that word anyhow? <g> >>>
That looks right even if SI doesn't agree. I think this on-line dicktionary is going to save me time looking words up in a book. Sig

I don't want to spend forever picking these stocks. Kind of look forward to so much a month potential income being enough. In that case I would begin with maybe 5 to 8 stocks inlcuding Gac.to and Dell, maybe Qcom
Undecided on the rest, perhaps Emc , msft and some non-techs which pay dividends up to 6%.
For two years the market has relentlessly extracted gains made in the big cap tecks, cpq, dell, msft, intc, yahoo, qcom, etc. I had only two left as of a few weeks ago that were still alive- glw and plcm and they finally came and hit both of those despite my having sold off most of them .
The question is, are they all finished now, and I think not. Be wary of high P/E's. If it takes over 50 years to
earn the market cap that seems risky unless one is just trading.
The reason is that we know they will still be selling cars or building military aircraft 3 years from now,
but 9 out of ten of the tech IPO's will vanish. Try cool, koop, dscm, eeee, geek.
If feeling somewhat stupid and beat up by the market as I am, look at the investors in those who still hold millions of shares that could have been sold but are now pennies on the dollar. Barclays bank seems to buy into every IPO created- must be trying to average down(G)
I agree that some techs have bottomed out and am always impressed with the activities of Msft
Regards
Sig.

This trading is about as safe as stealing a Gorillas lunch. I made out OK on the Jnpr and ocpi. Bgt jnpr at 132 and sold at 139. Still have ocpi but its only down 1 1/4. Instead of selling perhaps i could have gone short, but haven't checked to see if broker would let me sell stock I don't own.(haha)
Spread on puts seemed much too high
