Future steppings of that chipset may make it to 166/333 or 200/400. The initial stepping was only good for 100/200 and it was only sold that way.

There was no Intel style recall of PCs because they were corrupting data like the 1.13 PIIIs.

A good chipset was shipped for 100/200, it has since been replaced by an even better stepping good for 133/266. If all goes well, that one will be replaced by one good for 166/333 and that one possibly with a 200/400 chipset (the announced top of the spec for the Athlon's bus). Are the P4s all defective because they don't run 1.7GHZ yet? Or are they just defective because their IPC is so pathetic?
