John, I also did a research study a few years ago on demographic charts and economics cycles. There is clearly a strong correlation between the SP500 and the demographic cycle. 2008-11 seems to be the crest for the boomers. I took a quick look at a review on Dent's book, he seems to be on the mark with what details I found. His studies seems to go a little further with suggestions as to how to manage that period, interesting too. Here's a link I found to the article: home.earthlink.net
