Why don't we just let those babies live and then cut them up and use their parts after they are born?

Same thing...

Also be glad you are not a paraplegic, quadriplegic, a stroke victim, or an Alzheimer's victim. Also hope you have no family members that are victims of those diseases.

Maybe Bush ought to visit one of the hospitals that has a spinal cord injury unit, and go to a rest home where stroke patients and Alzheimers patients are forced to stay due to their dependency on others. Hey!!!! I thought Bush was compassionate!!!!!!

Press secretary Ari Fleischer, quoting his boss' statements during the campaign, said Friday that Bush "would oppose federally funded research for experimentation on embryonic stem cells that require live human embryos to be discarded or destroyed."

Thank God that many private foundations and venture capitalists will and are funding this valuable research! I wonder if Bush would oppose research using embryonic stem cells that didn't require embryos to be discarded or destroyed? If they spontaneously were discarded or destroyed would he approve? The above statement by Ari has holes big enough to drive an elephant through it. The only thing I am certain of is Bush is no genetic engineer!!!!!!! LOL

Dear ecommerceman: I personally watched that speach, Bush went on to say that he believed such research was beneficial but hoped that they could use embryos from NATURALLY dying babies and not those INTENTIONALLY Aborted. I did NOT get the idea from his speech that he was assailing Fetal Cell Research, merely the means of HARVESTING The Fetal Cells. JDN
