<It seems that the new drug regimes have led a number of gay men to believe that the disease is now manageable and that they can live an O.K. kind of life even if infected. An interview with a gay man on the new drugs made it quite clear the disease manages you and that it's not O.K.> It continues to surprise me how many people talk about certain conditions as if they're "taken care of" by things like surgery and drug therapy. In this way I believe the hyping of 'modern medicine' is a very bad thing. DAK DAK
