Amazing! They see the light! Or, at least, admit they see the light.

Let's hope Americans remember this when Hillary runs for President in 2004

In my little opinion, these were stupid mistakes....and ones that may come back to haunt Hillary when she runs for President in 2004

Friday's WSJ listed a few comments by former liberal defenders of the Clintons. Of course, when it mattered, they covered for them and dismissed their attackers as right wing haters.

Mary McGrory: "The liberating effect of this terminal tackiness and greed was immediately felt."

NY Times: "We are particularly troubled by the numerous instances in which Mr. Clinton granted pardons or commutations without proper consultation with federal prosecutors, often to reward friends or political allies or gain future political advantage." The editorial ended by admonishing George Bush never to abuse the pardon power.

Newsday: "Leave it to Bill Clinton to close out his presidency with one last helping of his signature dish: a pungent stew of campaign contributions, ethical shortcuts and what-the-hell disregard for likely consequences."

>>Denise Rich of New York, also a significant campaign contributor whose fugitive former husband Mr. Clinton pardoned in the final hours of his presidency, provided two coffee tables and two chairs valued at $7,375.<<

Let's not forget that she also donated $100,000.00 to one of the Democratic Committees, and then she wrote a note to Clinton to be "understanding" and mentioned "pardon" in her brief dispatch which she sent to Clinton just prior to her husband's pardon.....
