The "if" concerning GWB's election has become so small that it is not fair to keep repeating it either.

Go back to the Library, and look at the papers of the 1970's (and forward) elections, especially in the contested counties in FL. You will see this was not a new situation. It just "counted" this time. If the Democratic controlled counties had wanted it to be fixed, they had at least 30 years to do it.

And I agree. The entire US should have standardized voting machines. FOOL proof ones! And no FOOLs fooling with them. We need to know who is maintaining them. Has the press or anyone else thought of this? Are the machines under guard at all times? Is it possible for someone to change the counters?

There are many things to which we as citizens need to pay attention...INCLUDING Registration! What proof does each State require of a citizen in order to vote?

I believe the person has to say they are a citizen. Do we as a State, and Federally, require PROOF???? i.e. Birth Certificate, Passport, or Naturalization papers? If not, WHY NOT?
