recently tried, rather clumsily i fear, to explain what i liked and didn't like about the 20/80 stochastic crossover points. was just glancing at aeis

siliconinvestor.com

and this link is perfect. you can see the crossover at well above 80 end of august and what a great sell signal that was. you can then see how badly you would have been suckered thruout sept. and oct. if you played what looked like would be crosses to the upside from under 20; none of them quite materialized and there could have been hell to pay if you jumped the gun - which is what i usually do anyway! the recent crossover above 80 coming down looks from here to be a real sell sign. you takes your chances. just thot this chart was a nice illustration of problems that can ensue. don

p.s. when the macd confirms with a larger than usual spike, as it did to the downside mid-oct., that offers a nice confirmation - the more outrageous the spike compared to others in the same stock the better. so, a mid-oct. buy coming up off that down-spike would have been a much safer signal than trying to buy - or sell, off the stochastic alone. (best of all, of course, is you just wait 'til the macd crosses the midline on the way up, but then you aren't putting your butt on the line) all comments are really welcome.

Don, I don't post here much--don't have the time, but I do listen in some.....You are definitely
on the right CHANNEL here on this thread. You are just what this threads needs.........

I have thought for a long time several of the posters on this thread need a PSYCH NURSE. I won't mention any names but there are some real Schizos running around amuck in these here parts!!

If you go to their party---better take at least 3 straight jackets and phone numbers of
several good Mexican attorneys who speak "ENGLISH"
