Paul I remember watching the Frontline special awhile back on the LTC thing.. pretty mind boggling how that thing was run. A few people gave them some money to play with and they went nuts. No system lasts forever! Anyway I have been going into margin big time for the first time in about 15 years. I only get in this far when the bargains scream the loudest! I confine margin to a maximum of 25% of my investment assets and pretty much only use them when opportunities like this come around. The big trick is not to get greedy. A year ago January I was totally out of margin and talked a few other friends to get out of it too. We have been working back into it about a week before Xmas. I've got a few more stocks to buy before Tuesday. If we do get the 50 basis cut Wednesday we are off to the races in the next cycle. JMHO regards, Eric
