I wasn't trying to pick a fight with YOU. Dang, now I am disappointed. It is always best when people you like force you to defend your ideas. I have lots of friends that challenge me all the time on the stuff I say. It is a given.

I profile EVERYONE, from a personal perspective. If you look scary, I cross the street. If you are single, and childless, I am going to wonder why you want to play with my kid. If you are a man and approach me- I am going to wonder what your motivation is. I wouldn't put any of that into law, though. Your post does not make it clear whether you think there is a difference between careful scrutiny of people by an individual- and putting that type of scrutiny into a bureaucratic setting.
