Nothing is easy. When I went to system properties the "Opti 82C558 PCI*****" is under "system devices" and when the properties screen come up there is no tab for drivers.

I have a suspicion that this is not the problem with the sound. I think it was an old zip drive that I took off the computer.

Out of curiosity what was the method that you used to find that solution to that problem?
