I wouldn't believe that Bush is the captive of anyone. I would give him another week or two before you make that judgement. I thought you folks were bright and think for yourselves. All we hear are liberal mantras.

As the Baby Boomer generation begins to face some of the dilemnas of old age like stroke paralysis and Alzheimer's
it will cause a huge problem in terms of care-giving. Advancements in the treatment of these diseases will be critical and have a huge economic impact on the cost of growing old.

Most people have no idea what is involved in fetal stem cell research. There are cells that were extracted from an early stage embryo that were genetically engineered and developed through many generations of cell division. These cells have been scientifically engineered into mature human neurons. They no longer are identical to the cells from which they originated nor are they close in biological function. A tremendous amount of scientific skill and knowledge is needed to bring the technology this far where it can be used in the treatment of human diseases. The knowledge that has been gained from watching the maturation process of these cells is remarkable and will be used to benefit us all...........even if the religious right objects! Common ground will be found that will allow this progress to continue. It's too valuable to stop!
