I consider such matters should be handled reasonably. One should compare the consequences of 10 million pot smokers now operating within the law, as opposed to the harm of have the same 10 million operating outside of the law. Who are these people? Are they robbing people or listening to rock music too loud. Are they sitting on sofas instead of mowing their lawns or are they killing 15,000 people. I was just setting up the equations. The simple possession and cultivation for personal use should have a $5-50 fine misdemeanor (like a parking or speeding ticket). Impairment laws already protect us drivers.
