Good morning Barb, and good question. In all fairness each sponsor should be entitled to the $10 k initial investment for her/his pick. Stock with multiple sponsors will get a multiple of $10 k initially, and so should get more weight. This also allows one sponsor to exit the stock as he/she likes without asking other co-sponsors to concur.

YTD performance before adjustment for multiple sponsors:

Long portfolio: 37.3%
Short portfolio: (12.9%)

After adjustment:

Long portfolio: 37.8%
Short portfolio: (12.6%)
