For his part, bland never once wore his flowing and luxuriant locks in a pony tail. He had any number of other means available to be annoying at that stage in his life.

None of bland's buds wore pony tails, either, despite their many and manifest personality flaws (poor judgement in choosing their friends, for example). So perhaps bland did subconsciously discriminate against those of more equine tastes.

Perhaps he should feel somewhat guilty, in retrospect.
