my case I'm just doing buy-writes. So I'm looking for stocks that are basing or at the low end of their channels Good point Jill. I'm doing CC primarily on established positions that I'd just as soon not be called upon. Buy-writes are different strategy and call for different selection criteria. Although capturing IV is always pleasant. I think we agree CC writing is a lucrative endeavor in an environment where investor sentiment swings between euphoria that the Fed "is on our side" and gloom about disappointing earnings. Hope you find many more CMRC-like situations. lurqer
