Scott, LOL. So, what - if any - indicators should we use to make buy and sell decisions? Forward looking statements by company officials? Recommendations by Abby Cohen? Technical analysis signals? The majority consensus on the thread? What?

For the cycle we're in btb has been a pretty good indicator - in hindsight. You would have had to ignore the btb dip early in the cycle, though. For prior cycles not so good.

Knowing the stock has been cyclical and assuming that will continue, I think complete ignorance of fundamentals and reliance on TA signals would have worked pretty well. It would have gotten you maybe half the possible gain bottom to top.

Scott, I would really like to understand what made you virtually give a buy signal when KLIC was below 10. I think you were being contrarian, and correct. Was your buy rec based on the fact you saw a very bearish consensus? I remember you compared to the bullish consensus 10 months ago.

I agree with your analysis. What I meant to say was that I had a hard time using this information to predict the future price trends without being able to predict the BTB or Orders trends. It is a trade-off of which you want to forecast.

Best to all,

John
