Thanks a lot, Razor.

That site also shows all the repurchases by the companies themselves, which in some cases (TLM, VRM) are ongoing and very substantial.

Hi again,

The site you gave me is so good that I want to post it again:

smallcapcenter.com

I find very active insider buying for some of my obscure Canadian producers such as Summit and Gentry--and also for Anderson, which is getting to be pretty big.

Talisman has bought back about 100,000,000 shares in recent months, though that's only about 2 percent of market cap.

Tiny Vermilion (which I hold) is also buying back shares.

All these are making money hand over fist and most are rapidly increasing production. I would not be surprised to see more acquisitions. Already Berkley and Numac mentioned ikn the Barron's article a month ago have been bid for.

Anyone have any other names to mention?

Razor: Thoughts regarding the massive runup in HEC (62%) since thursday afternoon? I'm pretty pleased to be holding a position. News must be on the way. Wonder if the news will cause it to spike further or if traders will dump on the news causing a short-term decline? In any case, I'm in HEC as a long-term investment. Very interesting activity of late.

Also, the post about Saddam having two nuclear bombs sure makes owning non-mideast oil producing companies more attractive by the minute. I wonder if the defector is providing accurate information? The cloak and dagger world of disinformation in the intelligence community makes me wonder about the veracity of everything I hear in the news. At the same time, it's quite possible that Saddam has put together two bombs. If so, international relations could become superheated. Frankly, I hate to even think about what it implies.

Anyway, appreciate your thoughts about HEC.
