Tip, I hate set dividend policies at funds. What happens? When the market it down, you have to sell issues to pay dividends. When it is up, you don't. That is called automatic buy high and sell low. You also get a fat tax bill when you are sucking wind, due to the payout, which I can't hack. These fake payouts, loved by the public, do help reduce the discount and if poor performance continues, may force early open eneding.

I would not buy or sell a fund due to its dividend payout policy, but I throw it into the mix of things to consider.
