I'm reading Anne George's latest mystery. Set in a rural country with snake-handlers in it. It's her funniest yet. She has a great ear for the territory.

A more serious look at it is "The Serpent Handlers : Three Families and Their Faith" by Fred Brown and Jeanne McDonald.
That's sitting, waiting to read. First things first, like the mystery.

Just thought I'd throw those out there. I've read about the Maine book and want to get it. But when reading reviews, a couple mentioned a book set in rural PA that both thought was better. Don't remember the name.
