yeah, I may try that and export from IE instead of Netscape, maybe get a different result, but this wizard is definitely flawed in my opinion because when you browse to the source you want to import from, the box at the top is saying "Save In" and what's showing is the source file, not the destination, so you cannot use the wizard to transfer the files to the browser. I think.

I am going to take a break from this and go back to the other computer and try to get a cleaner copying process. Also, Mark and Ed's method is completely different and I haven't tortured them sufficiently yet. Then there's the article Dennis posted which will probably take awhile to read. Ain't life grand?

Thanks, bd. You are a warrior!

Okay, got a partial victory by comparing to my W98 computer that had all the bookmarks on it. Didn't beat the wizard, however!

Discovered that my bookmarks file on the 98 computer was under Windows, so looked on this machine, except there is no such file on C drive here on the W2K machine. After searching through a few files, I found one under Documents and Settings/rick/ favorites. I dragged and dropped the whole favorites file (like an encyclopedia!) into this folder and it showed up in IE, but not Communicator. So part of this is a W2K navigation thing for me.

Thanks again, Bob.
