Ranger, I haven't been to Turks/Caicos yet, but I understand it is a great area.

Belize is very diverse, beaches, mountains, caves, rivers to run, Mayan ruins.....an interesting place, and beautiful. The south, Placencia, is very quiet with a lot of the culture intact. The north, San Pedro area, is quite touristy but it is still interesting. Easiest access to the reef is in the north though. The inland mountains are supposed to be fantastic, but I didn't make it there. If you go there, go into Guatemala (fly), and go see the Mayan ruins at Tikal which are incredible.
