What is the difference between using the stem cells of fetuses and the organs of murder victims? Using the stem cells will save lives; not using them will not prevent any abortions.

DMA--Fine, disposing of fetal tissue with dignity and respect is still "throwing it away" in terms of not using it to help actual, living human beings, at least in my book.

As to your second point, I'm not talking about "dehumanizing" anyone, I believe abortion is a very serious procedure and shouldn't be approached at all casually. What I don't understand is how using tissue to save lives which would otherwise be discarded dehumanizes anyone? And, perhaps more importantly, how about the "dehumanization" of people with Parkinsons Disease, or Alzheimers Disease--ever see anybody with that? If those diseases doesn't strike you as "dehumanizing," then the word has a different meaning for you than it does for me...

I don't advocate that we "throw the fetal tissue away". It should be disposed of with dignity and respect.

You only look at the benefits of using the bodies of the unborn for science experiments, which have the potential of being considerable admittedly. You ignore the costs to society of objectifying and dehumanizing the beginnings of human life, which are incalculable.
