You suppose the Fed is going to nip that CSCO in the bud <ggg>:

Matters to be Considered:
1. Review and determination by the Board of Governors of the rates of discount to be charged by Federal Reserve Banks.

You know it's odd, stock charts look like they want to turn over, and yet everyone knows the Fed is going to cut on Wednesday. It appears that there is a battle going on right now between bad earnings and Fed cuts, and how much good the rate cuts will do.
It seems that the market wants to run up into FOMC. There was lot's of dip buying on Friday in CSCO, INTC, JNPR, PMCS, AMCC, BRCM, RIMM, NUFO, BRCD, etc..
At this point, it looks like we'll run up into FOMC, then dumpo on the announcement.
I may look for long entries in weakness tomorrow to hold for a couple of days.
I'll likely be shorting a knee-jerk reaction to the upside on the Fed announcement.
And, if we only get a 1/4 point cut, I think we all know what will happen.
I see more and more layoffs, more bad earnings, more of a slowdown surfacing.
Things are not well, yet.
Next qtr's. earnings may be worse than this qtr's.
The Nikkei, Nasdaq, S&P, and SOXX charts started turning over, a sucker's rally in the SOXX??
Most high flyers already started turning over, JNPR, AMCC, BRCM, NEWP, CIEN, GLW.
I see a very cloudy picture for next week.
Any thoughts??
