"whipsaw" is also a transitive verb,meaning "to take advantage of an opponent two ways at once" and the last time i recall, the word "quickly" is an adverb(or at least it used to be).....in essence, the event that places the investor at risk in a high momentum/pe stock will occur quicker then in a slow moving stock, but the actually "whipsaw" or advantage that the market has over the investor, be he long or short can be of minimal or extended duration.....and tends to get you both coming and going....as in selling or shorting at a temporary bottom and buying or covering at a temporary top....which equates to lose/lose..
