QHGI - I liked the looks of this so started some DD and found this on Market Guide:

"October 19, 2000

Triad Hospitals, Inc. and Quorum Health Group, Inc., an owner and operator of
acute care hospitals and health systems nationwide, announced that they have
signed a definitive agreement for Triad to acquire Quorum for approximately $2.4
billion in cash, stock and the assumption of debt. Under the terms of the
agreement, Quorum shareholders will receive $3.50 in cash and 0.4107 shares of
Triad common stock for each outstanding share of Quorum stock. Triad
shareholders will collectively own approximately 51% and Quorum shareholders
will collectively own approximately 49% of the pro forma diluted shares
outstanding. The transaction is expected to be completed in the first half of 2001."

Symbol for Triad is TRIH and it looks pretty interesting too! Would be interested in your opinion on TRIH, since QGHI is linked to it anyway. thanks for all your time and help..

Monday January 29: EMBT and VRC 2 more repeaters. marketgems.com
marketgems.com
Watch for more Anticipatory Upswing on Monday. EMBT just broke out of a four day correction in time for its earnings and VRC has already been moving up and is looking a bit tired, but the earnings are supposed $0.15 versus $0.01 and that could catapult VRC through 25 3/8 its 52 week high.
