the economy will be in a depression

Well it won't be the first time nor will it be the last. Everyone in the NEW ERA said we were recession proof and they were wrong. What makes us depression proof?

I am not predicting a depression but I also have sense enough to know that they do happen and we can have one if we are not careful.

RE >> , just in time for the feds to raise rates come wednesday. JMHO hmmm
if they "raise" rates there will be such a rush to sell stocks the 29 crash will look small.
---------------------
BTW
What people don't seem to understand is there is no "money" behind stocks..
book value means nothing if there is a run on them..as the value of everything
else drops just about as fast as the market does.

The market is a glorified ponzi scam and requires more money to come
in just to hold it's own..

While Spam wants to fight inflation it can't be done using monetary
policy without killing the market. The only thing that can really fight
inflation is increased productivity , so it's a catch 22.

We have had a lot of increased productivity..the question is how
far can we push that envelope, or has it already peaked.
One thing for sure it can't be pushed If unemployment goes
UP, like the out of date models wall street and the fed wants to keep using.
as It's always the best producers who get the hatchet while
the fraternity brothers who can't do anything good but kiss ass
hang onto the jobs , then production goes down and every thing
else follows.
