BlueCrab, I'm afraid that if the situation of your daughter is lumped in, as it is now, with late-abortion-on-demand, that's exactly what you're going to get, though -- the government telling you it's illegal.

And that all other abortion is illegal, too.

It's what the religious right wants, and I think they're going get it.

Afterthought: You post on an investment forum. This tells me that your daughter will be able to get a safe abortion in the circumstances you describe in any case. So will the daughters of the Congressmen who vote to make all abortion illegal. (They'll be big hearted and allow for the rape/incest/life of mother exception, probably.)

It will be those whose families can't come up with the money to go where safe abortions are available who will suffer.
