Monty, On my tea leaves, I have crude showing a pretty clear top (NG too). If the price of oil is dropping, wouldn't we expect XOM to drop? stockcharts.com JXM

The Last interview Welch gave was very informative; if people listened close; as he sure was hedging his forward statements a lot. The Guy knows more about what is going on in the economy and the world than GreenSpam. I mean he is counting beans all over the world, and GE has more spys than the CIA . I was holding GE until I heard him talk , the next day I dumped her. I've dumped about every thing I had..if we rally I'll do it on the back of the QQQ.. I'm still in CNC and PSIX ( sold half of the PSIX ) so my cost on the other half is now below zero. CNC I'm holding only because I sold calls out in 2003 and the puts haven't got cheap enough yet to put her on ice. I have some YHOO but she is on ICE ( I bought puts cheap enough that I can't lose even if she goes to zero ) I would have dumped her except buying back the calls I sold wouldv'e cost more than the puts. ----------------------- I still favor buying dips over shorting rallies for the time being , but just a tad. I'm more convinced now than ever before taht picking stocks is more like playing a lotto than handicapping. But I can handicap the NDX ..I'm also looking at another angle that I'll PM you on. Jim
