clappers-

every monday night game this year was better than yesterday's game (with the possible exception of 36 seconds of the third quarter).

the ad you're talking about is #9 - otto gets fat. i had originally picked that as my third choice but i didn't want to leave out the white guys. i knew you'd go for otto so i changed my pick. <G>

cingular's been flooding the airwaves pretty heavy for the past week or so.

i noticed some of the ads from the superbowl were re run during survivors. i never caught any of the last survivor show so i watched to see what all the fuss was about. though i like the "outback" location (reminds me of the southwest) i didn't care for the show concept. too manipulative. the producers set up a scenario that makes money the king and encourages selfish behavior... just another variation of the jerry springer show. immaturity disguised as qualities necessary for success.

(warning, below be polvinious political perspectives)

dang! didja see what bush is trying today? government funding of church charities and programs. that's going to be a lose-lose situation for citizens AND chruches. churches can't be expected or required to provide services to everyone equally regardless of their religious beliefs -- it directly contradicts many of their most strongly held tenets (to preach the gospel as they see it). there's a successful homeless shelter here in abq (joy junction - not affiliated with any church) that has continually refused to apply for or accept any grants or govt. money because, with it comes piles of regulations, red tape and conditions that decrease effectiveness. i think that's why they've remained successful for so long.

the reason for separation of church and state is NOT so much for the benefit of the state, it's for the benefit and freedom of the CHURCH... which, in america, means all kinds of religious and spiritual thought, including polvianity.

i saw dubbya as much more of a moderate during his presidential campaign -- what was that all about?

i thought the return to ford - regan - bush sr. eras and staffers was bad enough - now we head back to king george of england?
