SGI is announcing a new addition to its Intel® processor-based, rack-mounted-optimized server family, the 1100 server. Certified to run Windows NT®, Windows® 2000 or Linux, the SGI 1100 server features a space-saving 1U (1.75-inch) footprint that fits easily into industry-standard 19-inch racks. Powered by single or dual Intel Pentium® III 800 MHz or 1 GHz processors, the SGI 1100 server is a powerful yet affordable solution. SGI 1100 is designed for easy manageability, maintainability and expandability for deployment as an Internet, e-commerce, rendering or cluster computing nodes solution. SGI Internet Server for E-commerce
