That is not a lack of confidence you see but a healthy skepticism about politicians.

"Not too much confidence"

Actually I am quite confident in GWB's intelligence, but I can't tell the future. He seems plenty smart to be president to me. My post was more towards your seemingly pre-concieved notion that he is an idiot, and I hope you will give him a chance. Believe it or not I gave Clinton a chance even though I did not vote for him. I knew he was a liar prior to becoming president because of his ridiculous contention that he did not inhale. Wasn't an important detail in my mind so didn't pay too much attention to it.

As time went on however it became apparent to me that lying was a standard thing for him and I lost all respect. Does not mean I don't think he did any good as prez, but a man with no integrity deserves no respect. Can't figure out why so many don't care about it (integrity, that is) in regards to the presidency.

A brilliant liar is not nearly as capable as an honest person of slightly lesser intellect. If you are going to say he is dumb, say why you think that. Otherwise you are just talking crap.
